Voodoo One is proud of his friends at Celemony, who have been awarded a Technical Grammy for Melodyne.
PreSonus Studio One integrates Melodyne so tightly that it becomes essentially part of the program. Melodyne’s editing window opens within Studio One, and edits created in Melodyne can be immediately auditioned within Studio One, without cumbersome porting of files between the two programs.
“PreSonus has long recognized the unparalleled power Melodyne brings to audio editing, and we knew early on that integrating it into Studio One was a big part of creating the next generation of DAW software,” states Jim Odom, PreSonus co-founder, president and chief strategy officer. “We’re truly excited that the Recording Academy has recognized Celemony with this tremendous award, and we’re proud to be associated with such an innovative team.”

Digital Recording Arts has a review of Studio One 2:
With this new release of the software, more features than ever are filling out the interior of the software to make a great, competitive product in the cluttered digital realm of music creation. When you pair that with PreSonus’ inexpensive recording interfaces and outboard gear, you get one of the most professional studio setups at a quarter of the cost of it’s competition.

Voodoo One has just read another review of Studio One by the Lazy Tech Guys:
…
Conclusion
The Studio One program is an excellent recording program that has a solid foundation within what is the most important requirements for a good Digital Audio Workstation, and that is a great sounding audio engine. Also, the work flow of the program is well thought out, with most common tasks being extremely quick to perform and that is a pleasure when trying to capture song ideas quickly. Studio One is a excellent audio program that I would recommend as a great all around audio recording program for musicians.

Updates Look Promising
In its first year of life, Studio One has had two major updates with tons of new features added. These were almost all user feature requests (which means PreSonus is listening!) and the updates are free for registered users. How awesome is that?! It seems that PreSonus is taking Studio One seriously and this new addition to the DAW world is moving in the right direction.
